NU DISCO is the pop-up show where DJ FOLSOE stays inside the genre and lets it breathe: modern disco, funk-driven house, silky basslines, strings, guitars, synths, edits, remixes and the unmistakable feeling that somebody polished the dancefloor before we arrived.
THE IDEA
Disco never left.
It changed clothes.
NU DISCO is a dedicated pop-up show.
When it appears, we go all the way into the genre instead of using it as a short detour inside another set.
The roots are disco, funk, soul, boogie and dance music built around groove. The production is modern. The bassline still knows exactly what it is doing.
THE SOUND
Funk first.
Everything else negotiable.
Nu Disco can be sleek, soulful, playful, deep, glamorous, electronic or almost live-band warm.
It can lean into house, borrow from boogie and rebuild an old disco idea using modern production without turning into a museum piece.
The common denominator is groove.

The past is in the room.
This is not a retro show.
A familiar bass movement, string arrangement or guitar rhythm can feel classic while the drums, mix and production live completely in the present.
That tension between memory and modernity is where Nu Disco becomes interesting.
